I just downloaded this app and it doesn’t actually work. I’m not able to import images… basically everything is greyed out.
I needed to create animations of 7 different weather maps using 10 screenshots taken with Precise Screenshot for a 10-day soaring contest weather briefing. The app worked great and was fast and easy to use. It had only one small glitch in the interface when trying to enter the frame rate. If I first entered the name of the file then clicked in the frame rate box the default frame rate would be selected but when I tried to enter a new rate the typing would appear in the file name instead. If I used the minimal file dialog and tabbed through to the frame rate box it would work. Eventually, clicking in the frame rate box would work as expected but there is a slight problem with the interface in my experience. I would recommend this app for anyone needing to make animations or time lapse movies from stills.
So, it’s a one-trick pony, and that’s OK, as It does it well, and fast. You’ll want to create a folder of the only work you want to lapse. I did run into a few issues, and one was my fault. In my selected folder I named items image1, rather than image01, so the first nine frames were actually out of order when processed due to the missing leading (zero). The other issue is that Zeitraffer doesn’t automatically recalculate aspect if you change x or y. You’ll need to calculate that beforehand, otherwise your output will be stretched (or squeezed). But it’s easy to master, and fast to output, so I can easily recommend.
If you have a small batch of photos and want to try creating a time lapse, this is WAAAY better than using iMovie hacks, or profiles and tricks in Lightroom, etc. If you have a large batch of photos, and they are bucketed into mlutiple folders, you will struggle. Too many photos, the app hangs. And if you dont have all the photos in the root of one folder, the app wont open any of them. Heres hoping those issues are fixed in an upcoming release, even if it means the developer starts charging for it. Its a very cool app, and could be KILLER with a few more features/bug fixes.
Simple, user-friendly interface, no hassle with hundreds of different settings. The perfect tool for the ambitious hobby photographer. Thank you!
I love it! Only miss being able to configure the codec for the exported mov. Thanks!
Looks easy and intuitiv. But unfortunately png import is not working in this version.
Top App. Macht was es soll!
This minimalist app assembles pics into movies easily and effectively. Place all the images into one folder, choose how they will be sequenced, and the select "Export." You specify the frame rate after "Export" is selected. There are few other options.
Only run one test video so far, but it was simple, easy to use, good quality image and did exactly what I was looking for.
Really simple and really quick, no fuss. Just what I needed.
I have only done one video so far, but this app is amazing! Such a time saver! I used to try and do this in iMovie but I couldn’t get a good frame rate and it took forever to do. Thanks so much for the awesome app!
Just downloaded this and started using it right away. It’s simple and easy to use, just what I was looking for.
It’s too hard to find simple solution for non professional stop motion video. Zeiraffer is what you looking for. No more, no less.
Easy to use. Just simple. No problems with converting 4K lapse;)
It seems to be easy to use, few parameters to handle with, but it doesnt work, it made me a weird movie… Fix the bug and Ill give you 5 stars!
This program does exactly what I wanted it to. Theres no load of special features; it just focuses on getting the job done and it does so very well. Very easy to use. I highly recommend this for anyone who just wants something that works.
Free and Easy
This is perfect for my needs. Takes images and compiles to a video. Simple and works great.
